Johnny Bench was a better player, Carlton Fisk was a tougher SOB, Josh Gibson might be the most talented of the crew... but Yogi Berra did something that none of them can claim... he won... all the time... he had some great players around him, but he was the constant... never the best on the team, with the likes of Mantle, Ford and Dimaggio, he was there from beginning to end... he was the Derek Jeter of that Yankees Dynasty... |
